About me
Hi! My name is Alekhya and I began my yoga journey in 2018 as a way to supplement my running and heal from recurring injuries. I wasn’t in the best place mentally at the time, but yoga transformed my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. It brought my mind and body balance, increased my flexibility, and gave me a creative outlet to express myself freely. The practice became my sanctuary—a space to flow like a hippie, embracing peace and authenticity. Inspired by the hippie ideals of freedom and self-love, and my Discord username "veganhippiegrl", I created hippie grl yoga to share this journey with others. Here’s to finding your flow, your peace, and your inner freedom.
With over two years of professional teaching experience and certifications as a 200-HR RYT (2020) and 300-HR RYT (2024), I bring a versatile and dynamic approach to yoga instruction. My teaching experience at renowned studios like Y7 Studio and CorePower Yoga has honed my ability to create engaging flows, thoughtful playlists, and inclusive environments. I have extensive experience working with a wide range of clients, including corporate groups, beginners, advanced yoga practitioners, and students of all ages—ranging from younger individuals to older adults. This has allowed me to adapt my teaching style to meet diverse needs and goals, ensuring that every student feels supported and empowered in their practice. My in-depth knowledge of various yoga styles enhances my ability to offer unique, tailored experiences:
Vinyasa Yoga: Dynamic and fluid sequences linking breath to movement, enhanced by music.
Yin Yoga: Meditative, restorative practices with long-held poses to target deep connective tissues.
